Below is a copy of the genres of the Year 3 reading passports. Passports will be kept at school and staff will help the children complete them. Please try to make sure that the reading recorded in their organiser are the books from the school library. This will help us to ensure that children cover the all the different genres. We will help your child change their reading book regularly so that they can cover all the genres. 

There is also a recommended reading list of books you might like to attempt with your child over the course of the year. This however is not mandatory. Also attached is a VIPERS reading guide which will give you ways of helping develop your child's reading skills.
