As a part of your child’s educational experience at Horsell C of E Junior School, we promote personal wellbeing and development through a taught programme of Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) that gives children the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live healthy, safe, productive and fulfilled lives, now and in the future. During the week beginning the 24th March, your child’s class will be taking part in lessons which will focus on Relationships and Sex Education (RSE).
RSE is taught in every year group and is monitored and reviewed by the staff and governing body. We have just started to use a new scheme called KAPOW and this unit is entitled Safety and the Changing Body. All teaching will take place in a safe learning environment and be underpinned by our school ethos and values. A variety of opportunities will be provided for pupils to ask questions in a safe and confidential way.
For any parents who would like to watch the videos that we share with the children in school and ask any further questions, there will be a meeting on Monday 17th March at 17:00 which will last 45 minutes to an hour.
Please complete your details below in order for us to estimate how many people to expect. Please note this meeting is not suitable for children to attend.
